City of Tallahassee Fall Sports Registration Now Open

Spend time outdoors this fall with a variety of community sports leagues offered by the City of Tallahassee. With both youth and adult sports available, there are plenty of ways for people of all ages and activity levels to enjoy the City’s parks in the coming months. Fall sports registration is now open at Talgov.com/Parks.
Youth Baseball
The City offers recreation league baseball for players ages 11-19, and the teams are divided into three age groups. Registration is currently open, and the deadline to register is Wednesday, Aug. 16. Advanced play baseball is also offered for players ages 7-10 at Levy Park. Tryouts are required to participate in competitive baseball leagues. Youth Cheerleading
Cheerleading is offered for youth ages 4-13, and the leagues are divided into two age groups. Registration is currently open, and the deadline to register is Wednesday, Aug. 16. Youth Volleyball

Adult Beach Volleyball
Beach volleyball is available for adults 18 years of age or older. Both recreational and competitive 4v4 leagues are offered. 4v4 leagues play each Monday night at Tom Brown Park for eight weeks. King of the Beach and Queen of the Beach 2v2 leagues are also available. 2v2 leagues play six sets each Tuesday night at Tom Brown Park for eight weeks.
Games will begin on September 18 and run through November 6. Registration is by team and begins Tuesday, Aug. 1. The deadline to register is Tuesday, Sept. 5. For more information and to register for the fall adult beach volleyball league, visit Talgov.com/Parks.
Adult Flag Football
Flag football is available for adults 18 years of age or older, and three levels of competition are offered for players of all ability levels. Games are played on weeknights at the James Messer Sports Complex for 10 weeks. Registration is by team and is currently open through Friday, Aug. 25. Adult Softball
Softball is available for adults 18 years of age or older, with coed, men, church, senior and women’s leagues. Teams will play one game per week on weeknights at Tom Brown Park from August 28 through November 6. Registration is by team and is currently open through Friday, August 18. Part-time Jobs
Umpires, referees and concession workers are needed year-round for both youth and adult sports. These are paid positions through the City of Tallahassee. Motivated and energetic individuals interested in applying should visit Talgov.com/Parks.
