FSU Football 2014 Schedule.Season Starts August 30th against Oklahoma State in Arlington, Tx.
A pride of Lions enjoyed National Signing Day yesterday. The Leon Lions had 10 players sign football commitments from Florida State University to Alcorn State University to Clark Atlanta University and beyond.
The following players signed their letters of intent:
Brandon Byrd – Ellsworth Community College
Ryan Feely – Florida State University (preferred walk on)
Jacob Jones – Southeastern University
George Leland – Warner University
Kris Lingo – Alcorn State University
Davell London – Warner University
Barry Otieno – Clark Atlanta University
Mario Scott – Warner University
Shaja Thompson – Warner University
Jarvis Williams – Clark Atlanta University
Leon Lion’s Recruitment Coordinator Doug Waddell, Sr., attributes the players’ success to their hard work and willingness to reach toward their potential on and off the field. Waddell also acknowledged the impact of Head Coach Tim Cokely.

This year’s Dr. Bass Large Mouth Open Golf Tournament will be September 8, 2014. There will be a morning flight at 8 am and an afternoon flight at 1:30 pm. AMVETS Post 1776 will be holding its’ 3rd annual “Veterans Helping Veterans” golf tournament on September 15, 2014 @ 9:00 a.m (registration @ 8:00 a.m) at the “Golden Eagle Golf & Country Club.”
Proceeds to benefit the “Florida Veterans Foundation” and other local veteran programs.
